A Carson High School senior will be working on transforming C Hill back to its original design this Saturday as part of an Eagle Scout project.

Michael Service, 17, of Carson City, will lead an effort Saturday to clean up the "C" on C Hill where "20" was constructed on the hillside this spring. The intent is to reorganize the painted rocks back to their original position.

In June 2017, Parker Lehmann of Carson City did the same thing as part of his Eagle Scout project.

In 2019, Gabe Crossman, also did this as part of his Eagle Scout project. See story here.

The following is a letter of introduction from Michael, and his intentions for Saturday:

Hello, my name is Michael Service. I am 17 years old I was born in Reno Nevada, and I am a senior at Carson High. I grew up and was raised in Reno and Carson City. I am a Boy Scout with Troop 341, and was in Cub Scouts in 3rd grade and transitioned into Boy Scouts when I was 12.

I am doing my Eagle Scout project to become an Eagle Scout, my project will be cleaning up and reorganizing C-Hill from the 20 it currently is.

I am excited about doing this project and helping out our community. Sherwinn Williams was very helpful and has donated a 5 gallon of paint to assist me with my project. My project will be this upcoming Saturday Oct. 24, we will be meeting behind the Greenhouse Garden Center at 7 a.m. and will possibly be done at 12 p.m. Thank you!
